Lists compiled by Frederick Lanchester, 1930s-1940s?
These lists indicate material kept by Lanchester, which was re-assessed by him in the 1930s and 1940s when checking what he had. They often indicate how many copies of a particular item he held, and material that was sent to others. The correspondence between Lanchester and his friend Robert Lockhart includes letters where Lanchester discusses his sorting out process, and also indicates how confusing his filing or numbering system could be as he frequently updated lists or produced revised versions of publications.
