  • ┆Many of these glass plate images were donated by Lanchester family members and Lanchester enthusiasts in their original wooden slide storage boxes. Some of them were numbered for reference purposes and used by George Lanchester when giving talks about his brother Fred. Some of the images were also used in publications. The slides have been kept in the order they were stored in the wooden boxes, which means that they are not in date or subject order. Some of the marketing and publicity photos of cars were taken at Small Heath Park, Birmingham, a favourite location for The Lanchester Motor Company.
